Minecraft offers some awesome gameplay mechanics as-is. On PhrozenCookie survival we take those that as our base, and try to support that with relevant plug-ins which don’t completely alter, but rather support an authentic Minecraft survival mode gameplay. This principle forms the basis for all the choices we make concerning which plug-ins we do and don’t want to install.
Within the survival server, you are free to use or ignore any of the plug-ins we have installed. This means you are free to play the game however you want, within the boundaries of our server rules
This page gives a brief overview of the plug-ins we chose to install, and how we think it can be supportive of gameplay on PhrozenCookie survival. If there’s a plug-in you think should be added, that fits our survival server’s vision, please suggest it to us on our forums.
We use an Essentials plug-in which offers a lot of useful basic tools. It helps you get around the server, by allowing you to teleport between warps, homes and players. Aside from that it allows you to PM members, sell items to the server, fetch info about who’s online and more! Nicknames and warps can be set by the server owners. Requests for those also go on our forums. You can find a list of essential commands at this link .
Even though the server is whitelisted, we never know which wrongdoer might pretend to be a good kid in our application form. We have a grief prevention plug-in installed which allows you to claim your areas, lock your chests, trust your friends and have a space where you can’t be hit by other players. This also means you are responsible for keeping your own things safe. But no worries, it’s easy! You can find out how claiming works on this page .
PhrozenCookie network is listed on Planet Minecraft. Therefore, voting is very helpful to bump our server up the listing page. You can use the /vote command in game of vote directly on the PMC server listing (link). Voting grants you $500 in-game currency and 50 claim blocks, and it also allows you purchase a diamond in-game every three votes! Learn how this works at this link.
Skills and abilities
McMMO is a plug-in which allows you to train your skills! It adds a bit of a roleplaying element into the game, as it helps you to get more efficient at certain survival gameplay activities. Getting great at woodcutting allows you to chop trees down in one go. Improving at excavation grants you more random loot from dirt. Fighting without weapons trains you to deal more damage bare handed. And so forth, you’ll get better with each block you break! Check this page for more info on McMMO.
To support that essentials adds some currency to the game, the jobs plug-in allows you to earn money off things you do while playing. Enlist as a miner, and earn money off mining. Enlist as a fisherman, and earn cash with each fish you catch. Enlist as an explorer, and earn money as you travel across the map. You can enlist in three jobs at the same time. Use the /browse command in-game to see which jobs are available. More info can be found on this page .
The Chest Shops plug-in allows you to set up shop. This allows players to trade items for currency, even if they’re not both online at the same time. As a seller, it’s a fun way to share any surplus items you don’t need with other players on the server. If you’re a buyer, it’s a nice way to grab items which you don’t feel like obtaining by yourself. No more sitting around while waiting for your single chicken to lay an egg! Learn how to set up shop on this page.
With the newly generated world since May 2019, we also installed a high detail Dynmap for our 10K blocks radius pre-generated map. You can find the Dynmap at this link . It has a top-down view as well as isometric view, cave-map and maps of the Nether and the End. It will help you find biomes, structures and spots to build, and allow you to see where other players have settled. Very convenient for getting around, and it also takes away the advantage for any players who may have a minimap installed on their client.
